Windows XP Not Genuine

Solution 1

Lauch Windows Task Manager.
End wgatray.exe process in Task Manager.
Restart Windows XP in Safe Mode.
Delete WgaTray.exe from c:\Windows\System32.
Delete WgaTray.exe from c:\Windows\System32\dllcache.
Lauch RegEdit.
Browse to the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\
Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify
Delete the folder ‘WgaLogon’ and all its contents
Reboot Windows XP.
Note: With this method, you may be prompted to install WGA Notifications again which can still be unselected.

Solution 2

1-Launch Task manager
2-End process WGAtray.exe
3-Quickly restart in safe mode.
4-Click start, then Run. Type regedit and click ok.
5-Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
6-Click Software, microsoft, windowsNT, currentversion, winlogon, notify.
7-On the right hand side find folder WGAlogon and delete it and all of its components.
8-Restart in normal mode.
9-Go to c:\windows\system32 and delete WGAtray.exe file.
10-Next to it should be WGAlogon.dll, delete this too.
11-Delete from recycling bin and reboot.

This should have solved the problem but i advise switching your automatic updates to
“Notify me but dont automatically download or install them”. This should advise you if your computer tries to download WGA again.

Solution 3

For windows XP SP3 users try this method

1 Lauch RegEdit.
2 Browse to the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\
Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify
3 Delete the folder ‘WgaLogon’ and all its contents
4 Reboot Windows XP.

Solution 4

Disabling and renaming the files ‘WgaLogon.dll’ and ‘WgaTray.exe’ in C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder by using the program Unlocker seems to get rid of all the nags/popups.

Solution 5

Another alternative suggest that three files are installed Windows XP System Folder for WGA:

\WINDOWS\system32\WgaLogon.dll
\WINDOWS\system32\WgaTray.exe
\WINDOWS\system32\LegitCheckControl.dll

The wgatray.exe process makes the check for genuine windows software. If WgaLogon.dll is denied execution right, that WinLogon is unable to call it to check on Windows validity and display notification package at boot, and since WgaLogon is also responsible for running and maintaining WgaTray.exe, no more tray popups either.

To change and disable the execute bit of WgaLogon.dll:

Turn off Simple File Sharing in Tools -> Folder Options -> View tab.
Right click WgaLogon.dll in Windows Explorer and open the Security Tab.
Click Advanced button.
Uncheck the Inherit box at the bottom.
Click the Copy button.
Click OK.
Go through each listed user/group and remove the “Read & Execute” permission for WgaLogon.dll, leaving the “Read” permission as-is.
Click OK to apply the permission changes.
Close the file properties dialog.
Restart the computer.
Turn “Use simple file sharing” on (optional).

TP Link WN722N @ Ubuntu 10.04

This last weekend and I have to play a little bit with Ubuntu 10.4 and my new wireless USB adapter TP-LINK model TL-WN722N. The Ubuntu 10.4 has not recognized the adapter, so I had to ask Google how to make that works. I’ve tried many things, one was using diswrapper with Windows Driver, but did not work. After another attempts I found a solution, and I decide to write here.

The first step is to get the firmware, you can download it from the following link:

After the download you need to copy it to /dev/firmware directory:

sudo cp -r ~/Downloads/ar9271.fw /lib/firmware

Now we need to get the latest version of compact wireless, you can get it from the link below:

http://wireless.kernel.org/download/compat-wireless-2.6/

I got the file compat-wireless-2.6.tar.bz2

After the download you will need to uncompress the file:

tar -xjvf compact-wireless-2.6.tar.bz2

Now, it’s time to compile the driver. Enter in directory:

cd compat-wireless-2010-05-23/

and type the command:

sudo make

After the compilation, you can install the driver using the command:

sudo make install

Now, you need to unload the old driver and load the new one:

sudo make unload

sudo make load ath9k_htc

After loading the new driver you must reboot you system and once the system rebooted you will be able to use your wireless connection.

Memperbaiki file system windows yang rusak/corrupt tanpa instal ulang

jika pada saat booting windows muncul tulisan WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM CORRUPT

sellect R to repair

atau WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SOFTWARE CORRUPT

maka anda tidak perlu menginstal ulang perangkat lunak (windows) yang ad di komputer anda… mungkin lebih efektifnya jika anda mencoba cara berikut ini…

yang perlu d persiapkan…

• punya CD bootable windows XP
• segelas kopi + rokok jika di perlukan… he,,,he,,,

OK kita menuju TKP….

1. pastikan bahwa booting dari CD. (kalo belum silahkan set di bios)

–masukan CD bottable XP, dan booting dari CD tersebut…

–pada opsi r (repair) yang pertama tekan r

–tekan # 1 (biasanya)

–jika d minta, masukkan password administrator

–setelah muncul tulisan C:\WINDOWS>

ketik: CD SYSTEM32 (enter)

kemudian muncul tulisan C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32>

ketik: CD CONFIG (enter)

kemudian muncul tulisan C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG>

–ketik: ren system system (enter)

__jika sudah Ketik: copy\windows\repair\system (enter)

maka file yang rusak atau corrupt akan di ganti…

ketik : exit

keluarkan CD restart, byak..byak…. InsaAlloh windows kembali normal

begitu juga untuk masalah SOFTWARE corrupt: WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SOFTWARE CORRUPT

anda tinggal mengganti tulisan SYSTEM menjadi SOFWARE

Printer USB To Printer LPT @ XP

Secara garis besar untuk dapat menggunakan printer USB sebagai printer LPT adalah dengan menganggap printer USB tersebut sebagai printer jaringan ( dishare ). dengan menggunakan perintah net use lpt1, printer seakan2 sebagai printer USB
Langkah2 detail sebagai berikut :

================== sharing printer =======================
1. Pastikan driver printer sudah terinstall dengan benar dan bisa print
2. Cek nama komputer, klik kanan my computer, properties, computer name. lihat pada full computer name misalnya "FerrariOne"
3. start, printer and faxes
4. klik kanan pada printer yg mau disharing, misalnya "Epson LX300", sharing.
5. If understand ( misalnya belum pernah sharing ), just enable file sharing
6. Share This Printer
7. Kasih nama share saran ga pake spasi misalnya "LX300"

========= Mengaktifkan Printer USB sebagai LPT ===============
1. Masuk my computer, masuk ke drive c
2. klik kanan di sembarang tempat new, text document
3. kasih nama misalnya printer.bat bukan printer.bat.txt
4. edit printer.bat
5. ketik : net use lpt1: \\ferrarione\lx300 ====> net use lpt1: \\[nama computer]\[nama share printer]
6. save printer.bat
7. copykan file printer.bat ke startup windows( di start,all program,start up)
8. restart computer

setelah langkah2 tersebut dilakukan maka printer usb dapat digunakan u/ mengeprint program2 lama yg menggunakan port LPT
